St. Lawrence University Graduate 465 Students

St Lawrence University, today have held the 16 graduation ceremony at its campus near  the Kabaka’s lake in Rubaga Division.

The graduation ceremony which started in morning went successfully despite the disturbance of the heavy rain.

The process started with the Grandaunts taking their seats as early as 7am , then after the parents and guests taking also their seats and after followed by the academic staff assembling in room 14 which is located at the ICT building.

The process closed with the chancellor dissolving the 16 congregation.

St Lawrence University was founded in 2007 by the late Professor Lawrence Mukiibi and it’s now 19 years on road since its founding.

The 16 graduation ceremony witnessed 465 Grandaunts from the four faculties where 241 were females and 224 were males.

This year, the females performed well compared to males and top overall performed students most of them were females who includes; Vanessa who got 4.3 points from the faculty of science and technology, Nakimuli Collin who got 4.51 points from the faculty of science and technology, Lukuuse Josephine who got 4.51 points from the ICT, Nanduala Juliet got 4.52 from faculty of education and each got a cheque of 500,000 shillings as thanks of appreciation from the University.

Students from four faculties which includes; faculty of ICT, faculty of education, faculty of business and faculty of arts and social science were awarded certificates, diplomas and degrees.

The chancellor who is also the vice president of Uganda, Rtd Maj Jessica Alupo argued the Grandaunts to use the knowledge they have achieved to serve their community where they come from.

Alupo , also argued the students to reject corruptions of all forms .

Candle lighting ceremony was also done led by the chairperson board of directors joined by the Graduants.
