As one of the ways to look for standard investors and tourists to Uganda, the independent Presidential Advisor on Trade, Mr. Jim Tubuhaburwa, has been in Europe engaging with various investors, and explained that he had a wonderful trip and hopeful that it will bear fruits in the future because many young people who are unemployed, will be able to get employment in order to be able to meet their needs which in long time, will reduce crime, since according to police statistics, majority of the people who engage in crimes, are youths.
“As an Independent Presidential Advisor on Trade and Investment, I was honored to be invited by the owner of Tenute Silvio Nardi to visit their beautiful estate in Italy and experience firsthand the passion, tradition, and dedication behind some of Italy’s finest wines. It was an even more special occasion sharing a wonderful dinner and meaningful conversations with friends and family from both Canada and Italy”, he said.
“Experiences like this remind us that trade and investment are not only about business opportunities—they are also about building trusted relationships, understanding cultures, and creating lasting connections between people and countries. Grateful for the warm hospitality. We had an insightful conversation about some of the innovative power transmission and grid solutions GE Vernova is implementing across the Nordic region”, he added. The Countries he visited are; Italy, Holland, Switzerland, Norway, Denmark, and Sweden.
Tubuhaburwa continues to state that this was inspiring to learn how technology and strategic investments are shaping the future energy beyond energy. “This was so inspiring. We also exchanged ideas about Uganda’s tourism sector and its imense potential to attract more global visitors through sustainable development, partnerships and investment”, he added. It should be noted that the independent Presidential Advisor has been having various trips in various countries and most of the times he goes to such countries to sell out Uganda’s capability and to create opportunities to Ugandans dealing in coffee, such that they get more buyers which in return, increases the Country’s revenue.
