Voters in Rukiga District received NUP’s presidential candidate Robert Kyagulanyi a.k.a Bobi Wine with enthusiasm and optimism, and he passed through some poor motorable routes where a makeshift bridge was organised to allow his and police patrol vehicles to pass.
“Our message of change has reached the people of Rukiga district both physically and electronically. For years, you have been neglected, but in our government, we will work on the infrastructure,’’ Bobi Wine pledged.
The criminal regime, through its enablers and agents, has been trying to rely on outdated intimidation tactics aimed at demobilizing our people,but we have successfully managed to interface with them. For so long, the people of Kigezi sub-region have been desperate for a new government that will respect their rights and freedom.
As we speak today, the great icon of Kigezi sub-region Rtd. Col. Dr. Kizza Besigye is among the dozens of political prisoners under incarceration. Our new government intends to restore justice for all by freeing all political prisoners who have been jailed under trumped-up charges.
