In an effort to bolster a winning spirit, President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni has made a huge winning bonus of UGX 1.2 billion per match to Uganda cranes.
This announcement was confirmed by FUFA via their social media platforms today, Monday, April 8, 2025.
The statement reads in parts, “The President has announced a massive winning bonus of 1.2 billion shillings per match for the team at CHAN 2024.”
The good news was reported to the players by FUFA President Moses Hassim Magogo at the national team camp located at FUFA Hotel in Kisasi Kawempe, Division.
City Tycoon who also owns Nakivubo Stadium also pledged to give the Cranes UGX 20m as winning bonus per game.
Uganda cranes will be tasseling with Algeria today in the second group C match which will kick off at 8:00PM at Namboole (Mandela) Stadium.
The tournament opener featured Tanzania defeating Burkina Faso 2-0 last Saturday while Kenya edged 1 the Democratic Republic of Congo 1-0.
