KCCA Open Fouty-four Toilets ahead of City Festival

In an effort to improve sanitation in the City, KCCA has constructed 34 new toilets and renovated 10 across the different divisions in a space of 2 years.

The toilets according to Dr. Sarah Zzalwango the acting head of Public Health Directorate; the Authority has spent a whopping UGX 250 million on each new toilet facility which have stances that cost 350 million in total.

While launching the new toilets at City Square, Zzalwango argued the public to own them and be vigilant on whoever is vandalizing on the facilities to keep them clean and safer for use.

“ These new toilets have cost government huge sums of money and we would like to keep them well and always in better usable conditions.’’ Zzalwango said.

She also warned the city dwellers to stop using polythen bags and plastic bottles for easing them selves for they risk being jailed.

Meanwhile KCCA also made text for the upcoming City Festival event that will take place next month when the Authority closed some roads on the upper side of the city for bicycle riders to test how best it can be without motorists using these roads.
