Kassanda, Uganda–A school canteen attendant stone to death a student at Bright Way Secondary in Kyamasansa village Kassanda sub-county, Kassanda District.
The deceased is identified as Ronald Ssemiyingo aged 20 and a senior three student injuring him on the head. Just after the incident he was rust to the Red Rose health centre but was pronounced dead shortly.
The sad incident occurred within the premises of the school according to the statement issued by the region police spokesperson, Lamek Kigozi, this happened when the suspect a one Resty Namutebi pick a quell with one on the students she was attending to, she picked a stone target him put missed the intended target and it hit Ssemiyingo.
“On receipt of the complaint, the scene of crime has been visited by a homicide team from Kassanda district,’’ a statement by Kigozi reads in parts.
In this Statements the region PRO also said that witnesses have recorded statements after arresting Namutebi the suspect who also recorded her own statement.
She will be produced to court very soon when investigations are done to answer charges according to the state prosecutor guidance,’’ Kigozi stated.
He also said further deep investigations are ongoing to establish the full circumstances under which the deceased was struck with a stone including the exact cause of death .
