In a bide top curb down the rampant accidents in Uganda, traffic police has impounded fifty-one buses for failure to adhere to the rules and regulations while others were in dangerous mechanic conditions and were not expected to be on the road.
According to the traffic directorate Spokesperson SP. Michael Kananura, three drivers had no badges as required by the regulations while 41 violated route charts as the where found on different routes as opposed to their prescribed charts, 5 had no required photo graph in the buses they where driving and 2 were nabbed with out a valid driving license.
Speaking to reporters in a weekly security press briefing at Naguru Police headquarters, SP. Kananura said that the culprits have since been aligned to court and charged with related offences as police continue to carry out operations leading to more arrests of law violators.
