In the space of five months, Kyadondo SS have won five Schools titles which includes Wakiso Hockey Boys and Girls, U-16 USSSA Boys, Matugga zone football Boys, African kabaddi championship Boys and Girls and UMEA football Boys.
In the just concluded UMEA games which were held in Nkoma SS, Mbale, Kyadondo SS won their first UMEA football Boys title after defeating Masaka SS 1:0 in the final game.
In the road to the final, Kyadondo SS defeated Kawempe Muslims 2:1 in the round of 16 then overcoming giants Kibuli SS in the quarter finals and Buziga Islamic School in the semi finals.
Last year, Kyadondo SS emerged fifth position in the USSSA football Boys played in Ngora SS and this year, emerged Champion of Matugga zone in Wakiso USSSA football Boys qualifiers.
Kyadondo SS Headteacher, Mr Isma Waliggo attributes good technical team and believing in young talents are the reasons why Kyadondo SS have become power house in sports.
“This trophy means a lot to me”, Waliggo states after winning his first UMEA football Boys title.
A SIGNAL TO WAKISO ZONE
After defending the Matugga zone football Boys title, now all eyes for the Wakiso District qualifiers where only six slots are available for the Nationals but Waliggo is very confident that his Boys will make it to the Nationals.
PROMISE TO FANS
Waliggo promised his fans to watch good moving game this time as it was in Mbale where they got more supporters because of their good game.
Kyadondo SS has a Soccer academy which plays in the FUFA football academy’s Championship.
