The Catholic Church in Uganda is saddened by the demise of renown gifted Catholic music composer Dr. Fr. James Kabuye.
Although online media is a washed with news regarding the death of Rev. Fr. Dr. James Kabuye, a celebrated priest and pioneering liturgical composer, age of 92, the church is yet to announce his demise
Fr. Kabuye, of the Diocese of Kiyinda-Mityana, was widely regarded as one of the most influential figures in the development of contemporary Catholic liturgical music in Uganda. His compositions, many written in Luganda, have become fundamental in churches across the country and beyond, blending African musical traditions with Catholic worship styles.
His Catholic music composition melodies touched many hearts and glorified God thus spreading to almost all Dioceses.
