“After this moment, I appeal that let’s work as a team for this association. Working in isolation cannot help us any more as we look at achieving the set target of spreading the sport upcountry,” he added.

Bbale’s tenure commenced effectively from 2026 to 2028 and he will work along with Edward Mubiru as vice-president, Shifa Nantabi, and Micheal Acon retained their portfolio as General Secretary, and Treasurer respectively.

The executive further has Lynette Kabahenda, Aminah Nakawooya, Vicent Kibira, Ismail Bwanika, and Herbert Kafrika as Members.

After the confirmation of the new executive, Chebet called for streamlining the association’s operation according to the national procedures.

“The National Council of Sports loves the Uganda Squash Rackets Association, that’s why I took the initiative of travelling from Kampala to Tororo to witness the election of the top membership who will be in a position to run this noble sport up to 2028,”

The Uganda Squash Rackets Association (USRA) is among the sports bodies that are continuing their submission to the National Council of Sports (NCS), seeking to retain full membership as per the 2023 new Sports Act.
