Uganda Inter-forces games are back

The Uganda inter-forces games are back after an absence  of two years and according to the Uganda People’s Defence Forces (UPDF) spokesperson Col. Obo Chris said they will be hosted in Gulu City.

The two -weeks event will commence on August 22nd and end on 5th September featuring the host UPDF, Uganda Police Force, Uganda Prisons and Uganda World Life Authority.

Col. Obo said that the games are aimed at enhancing and strengthening corporation among the forces as well as ensuring constant fitness and discipline.

” Our overall objective hinges on building togetherness as forces as opposed to the winning, so it’s a participatory tournament, ” Col. Obo stressed.

The tournament also help in promoting civil military corporation while reducing stress on field forces yet helpful in identifying new skill and talents.

This 18th edition will have disciplines such as Netball, football, volleyball, handball, athletics  taicondo and range shooting.

The last Edition was speared and organised by Police in 2023. The winners will work away with trophies and gold medals.
