Two Biological Sisiters Accuse Neighbour of Defiling Them, Police Arrest Suspect

 Police has arrested and detained a one, Simon Kiwanuka aged 39 years, a businessman and resident of Nkokonjeru A cell Lwamata town council in Kiboga district who allegedly defiled two female juveniles aged 12 and 8 years respectively.

According to the Wamala Region police Spokesperson SSP Lameka Kigozi, the suspect happens to be a neighbor to the victims who are daughters of Agnes Nyiramuhirwe aged 41 years who is also a resident of the same area.

Kigozi informed this publication that the victims disclosed to their mother that they have been persistently sexually abused by their neighbor in May and June this year and the culprit has been seducing them with money and intimidating them such they don’t reveal to the mother about the incidence.

According to Nyiramuhirwe, On the 2/7/2026, the young victim fell sick and had difficult in walking, when she asked her what had happened, she revealed to her that she had been defiled by the neighbor Simon Kiwanuka on several occasions.

She further narrated to the mother that the suspect has been defiling them since the month of May 2026 and when the mother asked the second victim about what her young sibling had said, she confirmed the incident alleging that, the suspect used to give them money after sex and told them never to reveal this act to anybody.

The mother got enraged and reported the matter to Lwamata police station and the detectives swung into action and arrested the culprit who is currents behind bars at Kiboga’s Central Police Station as more investigations are ongoing.

“A case of aggravated defilement was registered and is being investigated and documentary proof of age has been retrieved, the victims have also been subjected to medical examination, Statements of witness have been recorded as well,’’ Kigozi said.

He also said that suspect will be produced to court as soon as the resident State Attorney in Kiboga sanctions charges of aggravated defilement against him.

“We appeal to men do resist the temptation of sleeping with under aged girls because it carries serious penal reprisal on arrest.’’

According to the Police Crime Report 2025, defilement remains the most prevalent offence, accounting for 10,492 cases, with the majority of victims being female juveniles aged between 15 and 17 years and Kiboga is one of the most affected districts in the country.
